The sun is already showing itself regularly, the terraces are filling up nicely, the bikes are being taken out of the shed and the days are getting longer, which can only mean one thing; spring has started!
Summer time will also start on the last Sunday of this month, making the days seem even longer! To get spring off to the best possible start, we give you some spring tips that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
- Get out of bed on time
If you decide to get out of bed early, you will soon discover the first signs of spring. It is getting light earlier and earlier and you can already hear the birds singing softly. Moreover, it smells different outside: spring has its own scent that you can especially smell in the early morning. What do you do with this extra time? Take a morning walk, exercise before work, take time for yoga or make a big (healthy) breakfast. - Take care of your garden
In spring, you can enjoy gardening without breaking out in a sweat or your fingers nearly freezing. Moreover, unlike in winter, spring has a lot to offer in the garden. Many trees, flowers and plants come into bloom and there is a lot to do in the garden again! Gardening is a soothing activity that gets you moving and only becomes more enjoyable with a warm sun on your back and birds singing around you. - Bring spring into your home
In winter, we make our house cosy and cozy. Inside, it is nice and warm and the house protects us from the cold outside. Now that spring is coming, it's time to bring the outside world inside. Make your home light and airy, bring in some pretty flowers and plants and open a window regularly to bring fresh air inside. Immediately hold a spring clean or spruce up your home. Give the walls a new colour or get some new furniture: it will look a lot better and you won't have to go to the gym anymore ;). - Start exercising (again)
Spring is the time to pick up exercise! You will regain more energy and so you can prepare for a wonderfully fit summer. Exercising also makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin. You feel fitter and stronger, more attractive and mentally stronger. Because you exercise, your metabolism also goes up, which in turn makes you lose weight faster. In fact, exercising gives you almost all the ingredients you need for a good summer. Get outside and pick up sports such as: cycling, skating, running, hiking or bootcamps. - The most important tip, of course, is: enjoy!
After winter, it is wonderful that spring is once again at hand. Enjoy going outside again, find the cosiness or, on the contrary, the tranquillity of nature. Enjoy people going outside again and everything is in bloom again.
