Probably everyone is following the media coverage of the coronavirus. In the Netherlands, too, there are now more and more known infections. For this reason, we want to inform you how we deal with this in practice and also how you can deal with it yourself.
Important information about coronavirus
The virus is especially risky for elderly people and those weakened by other diseases. To prevent infection, prevention is very important. In this, we all have a role to play.
What can you do yourself to prevent infection and spread of coronavirus?
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water
- Cough and sneeze inside elbow, not hands
- Use paper tissues
The usual hygiene rules apply in our practice, but we now ask for extra attention to the following:
- Use a clean towel when you come to train with us
- Make sure you clean the exercise equipment properly every time after use.
And pay close attention!
If you have flu symptoms and have been in an area with coronavirus in the past 14 days or have had contact with someone infected or from a high-risk area, report to your GP by phone and contact us.
The RIVM extended this advice on 1 March, stating that even with mild respiratory symptoms, you should stay home for a day if you come from a high-risk area or have had contact with an infected patient or someone coming from a high-risk area.
We are monitoring developments around the coronavirus and will update this information as necessary. More information can be found on the RIVM website and the current state of play (https://www.rivm.nl/coronavirus).
Within FriskFysio, we are of course closely following the developments surrounding the coronavirus. If anything changes about the situation, we will share another update with you.
