Do you feel tired and have cramps or pain in your legs after a short walk? In addition, do you constantly have to stand still so the pain subsides? If so, you may be suffering from intermittent claudication, or 'shop-window legs'. Why do we even call it leg syndrome? Because when you are shopping, you always stop to look in the windows. When you have tired or aching legs, you are basically doing the same thing, hence the name shop window legs.
How does it feel?
The pain in your legs occurs due to a narrowing of the leg arteries. After walking for a while, you experience a convulsive pain in the leg. At that point, walking no longer seems possible, but after a while the pain goes away. Then, when you start walking again, the pain reoccurs.
