The press conference on 23 March further emphasised that, even in these times, the use of physiotherapy is and remains necessary to relieve GPs and hospitals and continue to help you reduce and remedy physical complaints. However, the movement care we offer through physiotherapy will mostly take place online. This may sound crazy, because many people think that physiotherapy is only a physical profession. But even remotely, we can give advice and offer exercises to reduce complaints and tackle the causes of complaints. How exactly does such a virtual session work?
Supplies online physiotherapy
It is actually quite simple. You need a mobile phone, a laptop or a tablet, an e-mail account and the internet. This way, we can send you a questionnaire, consult with you and demonstrate and send you exercises.
The intake form
First of all, we will send you an intake form by e-mail. By answering the questions on this form, we will already have a global picture of your complaints and can discuss them in detail during the telephone or online intake interview.
The intake interview (online or over the phone)
During the intake interview, we go through your complaint(s) with you, what you feel and when you suffer from them. A diagnosis follows from this. It may not be possible to establish a diagnosis remotely. If this is the case, a tailor-made solution will be sought in consultation. Should a physical appointment be necessary, we naturally follow the guidelines of the KNGF (our professional association).
Digital practice schedule
After the diagnosis, we advise you what you yourself can do at home to reduce your symptoms. You will receive a personal exercise schedule (with accompanying videos of our exercises) via e-mail/via the app. We can go through the exercises with you in a video call if you wish. Physical treatments cannot be done remotely. Should these prove necessary for your recovery and cannot be postponed, we will discuss a tailor-made solution with you.
Progress and follow-up appointment
We will also monitor your progress remotely. In follow-up appointments by phone or video call, we discuss what you are up against, how the picture of your complaints may be changing and make adjustments where necessary.
Make an appointment!
It requires some creativity and flexibility from you and us, but this way we can help you now too. Would you like to make an appointment to discuss options for your specific complaints? Then call 085-5000333, send an e-mail to info@friskfysio.nl or fill in the contact form on our website. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
