Who are we?
My name is Kilian ter Meer and I work as a specialised podiatrist within the Paramedic Centre on Amsterdamseweg. My interests lie within examining and treating biomechanical abnormalities of the musculoskeletal system with feet as a specialisation. As a podiatrist, I have at my disposal a wide range of treatment options for various problems in the lower extremities.

What is podiatry?
Podiatry is a (para)medical field within which the focus is on treating physical complaints in the lower parts of the body. This often involves problems in the feet, but problems in the knees, hips or lower back are also treated. The cause of your complaints is always examined from the perspective of the whole body. For example, a problem in your knees or hips may be caused by an abnormal position of your feet. Often a connection can be made between the function of different parts of the lower body.
