Also this month, we introduce 1 of our professionals! What lies behind the therapist himself? Is he or she a bit sporty himself or herself and what hobbies are there besides work? We asked our colleague Kelsey in the quick-question round-up!
Function; physiotherapist
- How healthy do you live yourself and what do you pay attention to? I think it is important to feel fit, I do this by paying close attention to my diet and eating a varied diet. Lots of vegetables, plenty of fruit and enjoying a nice pastry now and then 🙂
- What do you do about exercise? I find it hard to sit still! I cycle regularly from Amsterdam to work, I go to the climbing hall or gym 4 times a week and I love hiking in nature. Last summer, I hiked from Portugal to Spain.
- What is your most bad habit? According to my boyfriend, I get moody when I haven't eaten yet....
- What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time? I love exercising, being outdoors and the occasional festival.
- Do you have children? Are you in a relationship? Pets? I live with my boyfriend in Amsterdam, where we are proud parents of our kitten Luna.
- What characterises you as a person? Friends describe me as empathetic, reliable and a tad direct. I go through fire for my family and friends.
- What characterises you as a therapist? I find it important that clients feel safe. I want to make them see the positives and encourage them to be active in reducing their symptoms themselves.
- What are you proud of? That I learn quickly and am diligent. I would like to continue growing and prefer not to stand still for too long. That is why I am starting a master's degree this year.
- What do you often get to hear from your patients? 'You sure have strong hands for such a little girl!'
- Do you have another health tip/exercise tip? Make sure you do a sport that makes you happy. That way it will be easier to stick with it and you will get more energy out of it.
