Physiotherapist, Ultrasound therapist, Shockwave therapist, Cupping specialist and Owner
BIG: 09916194504
My name is Bart and I am (co-)owner of FRISKFYSIO, where I work as a physiotherapist. Since completing my studies in physiotherapy and orthopaedic medicine, I have specialised further in treating various physical complaints. Here, I mainly focus on neck, shoulder, headache and jaw complaints, pelvic complaints, back complaints, herniated discs, stress-related complaints, and treatment techniques such as Dry Needling, Shockwave therapy, Cupping and ultrasound.
Ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool that I use to quickly and accurately visualise the cause of complaints. With ultrasound, I can properly visualise tendon and muscle damage, inflammation or abnormalities in joints, for example. This allows me to treat more specifically and effectively, and to monitor the progress of recovery. Using ultrasound adds an extra dimension to my treatments, allowing me to guide my clients even better towards recovery.
As a physiotherapist, I am passionate about helping my clients improve their physical health and reduce their pain. I am reliable, professionally strong and work hard to provide the best care every time. In addition, I am always curious about new developments in my field so that I stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and treatments. My aim is not only to provide symptom relief, but also to understand and treat the underlying causes of complaints.
My approach is characterised by an active approach. I believe in the client's own strengths, which is why I work with them on a tailor-made treatment plan. Using a systematic and effective approach, I work towards the end result step by step. I make sure that the treatment process is measurable, so that we can monitor progress together. It is important to me that my clients not only get rid of their complaints, but also gain the knowledge and tools to stay healthy and pain-free themselves in the future.
Besides treating physical symptoms, I pay close attention to the psychological aspects of the recovery process. Coping with pain and preventing relapse is often as important as the physical recovery itself. Therefore, I also try to pay attention to my clients' coping strategies in my treatments, so that they become mentally stronger and more resilient.
In my spare time, I am an active and sporty person. I can be found outside a lot, whether running, kite surfing, motorcycling, playing basketball, or working out. I am also passionate about going on faraway trips, enjoying discovering new cultures and broadening my horizons. These activities not only help me stay physically fit, but also mentally relaxed and inspired.
I believe that a healthy lifestyle, with a good balance between work, exercise and relaxation, is the basis for both physical and mental well-being. As a physiotherapist, I aim to help my clients find this balance so that they can return to their daily activities without pain and lead a vital life.
