My profile:
My name is Maxine and I have been working as a physiotherapist at FRISKFYSIO since December 2024. I graduated as a physiotherapist from Leiden University of Applied Sciences in March 2024. Because I was looking for more challenge and have the dream of becoming a doctor, I also started studying Medicine at the Free University in Amsterdam during the last six months of my physiotherapy studies. By studying Medicine, I develop a broader view of healthcare and can also apply this knowledge within physiotherapy. I can offer a holistic approach and with this I strive for optimal patient care. Combining my work as a physiotherapist and my studies in Medicine is a challenging but also incredibly motivating experience. I look forward to further developing my knowledge in the future and providing the best care to my patients.

At FRISKFYSIO, I get the chance to put my physiotherapy knowledge and skills into practice. As a physiotherapist, I work accurately and pay close attention to the person behind the complaint. It is important to me that every patient feels heard and understood. My aim is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to find out the cause of complaints and work with the patient to achieve sustainable improvement.

Besides my work and studies, I enjoy doing sports, including handball and running. Sport not only helps me stay physically fit, but also provides the necessary mental relaxation. I also really enjoy going on winter sports and travelling. Furthermore, I spend my free time relaxing, like reading a nice book, watching a good film or series or spending time with family and friends.
